Built for OEM Compliance: SINOVA MARINE's Approval Roadmap for Leading Marine Engine Manufacturers

In modern shipping, lubricant selection is closely tied to engine manufacturer requirements. Recognizing this, SINOVA MARINE has established a clear and structured OEM approval roadmap, targeting a comprehensive range of No Objection Letters (NOLs) and approvals from leading marine engine manufacturers during the first half of 2026.

This strategic focus reflects SINOVA MARINE's commitment to delivering lubricants that are not only high-performing, but also fully aligned with OEM technical expectations.

A Focused OEM Approval Strategy

SINOVA MARINE's approval program covers a broad portfolio of two-stroke cylinder oils, system oils, and four-stroke trunk piston engine oils (TPEO). The planned approvals are designed to support engines operating across deep-sea, short-sea, and auxiliary power applications.

The approval roadmap includes leading OEMs such as:

  • MAN Energy Solutions (two-stroke cylinder oils and system oils, including multiple BN levels)
  • WinGD (two-stroke cylinder oils)
  • Wärtsilä (two-stroke cylinder oils, system oils, and an extensive range of four-stroke TPEOs)
  • Daihatsu (four-stroke TPEOs across multiple approval classes)
  • Hyundai Himsen (four-stroke TPEOs covering a wide BN range)
  • Yanmar (four-stroke TPEOs for auxiliary and propulsion engines)
This structured approach ensures compatibility with a wide spectrum of engine designs, operating profiles, and fuel strategies.

Covering the Full BN and Viscosity Range

The planned OEM approvals span multiple base number (BN) levels and SAE grades, enabling fleet operators to select lubricants optimized for their fuel sulfur levels, engine load conditions, and maintenance strategies.

By addressing both low- and high-BN requirements, SINOVA MARINE aims to support engines operating on conventional fuels, low-sulfur fuels, and alternative fuel blends, while maintaining cleanliness, wear protection, and corrosion control.

Testing, Documentation, and Validation

Each lubricant submitted for OEM approval undergoes a defined process that includes laboratory testing, performance validation, and documentation in accordance with OEM guidelines. Where required, field experience and operational data are incorporated to demonstrate lubricant suitability under real operating conditions.

This disciplined process ensures that SINOVA MARINE products presented for approval meet the technical expectations set by engine manufacturers, without compromise.

A Clear Path Toward 2026

The first half of 2026 represents a key milestone in SINOVA MARINE's technical development roadmap. By targeting approvals across multiple OEMs and engine platforms within this timeframe, the company reinforces its position as a reliable, technically focused marine lubricant supplier.

This forward-looking approval strategy allows shipowners and operators to plan with confidence, knowing that SINOVA MARINE lubricants are being developed with OEM compliance, operational reliability, and long-term engine protection as core priorities.
